195 – 190 Family Meals
These family meals keep getting more and more photogenic!

.
Tuesday: Tofu and broccoli curry with leftover julienned vegetables. Also, white rice.
.
.

.
Wednesday: a salad! With curried eggplant and weird, watery raspberry and banana smoothies. Then we had one potato lying around, which produced an incredibly small portion of french fries.
.
.

.
Thursday: let’s kick it up a notch and have a Mexican fiesta! Every now and then, Dirt Candy splurges and buys a Taco Seasoning Kit – fun for the whole family! This particular purchase was prompted by the enormous amount of leftover huitlacoche we had on hand, and there’s huitlacoche in just about everything you see here. Tofu (with lots of Authentic Taco Seasoning Powder from the packet), rice and black beans, tomato and avocado salsa and taco shells.

.
Friday: lots of leftovers from yesterday’s Mexican fiesta. Thus, tortilla soup which somehow wound up having smoked tofu in it. Smoked tofu gets into just about everything here – it’s our equivalent of desert sand. Also, the inevitable eggs there on the left, this time scrambled with broccoli stems and cheese. And lime wedges. Just because.

.
Saturday: on the left, gnocchi with snap peas and broccoli in a creamy sauce dyed orange by the juicy carrots we added. On the right, the non-gnocchi version in a tiny pan for Danielle (who is a mutant unable to eat wheat).
