Love or hate the name Dirt Candy, it was designed to be talked about and people are talking about it like nobody’s business. I’m firmly convinced that if I’d taken a hint from most restaurants and named my place Fork, or Green Table, or E9 it wouldn’t be getting nearly as much press as naming it Dirt Candy. Now, it looks like the name is catching on. Over on a blog named 5:01 they’re talking about PETA’s Super Bowl commercial and a commenter writes:
“Obviously, PETA is less concerned with portraying women as eye candy than they are concerned about dirt candy.”
I would like to say that I did not pay the commenter in any way, shape or form for this product placement.
