The best way to blast the cold right out of your bones is with the big, sour, spicy, bitter, and sweet flavors of Thailand. None of us can go there right this minute, but that doesn’t mean we can’t bring Thailand here, or at least the Dirt Candy version. Think of us as a two-week pop-up serving the best Thai vegetables in New York City.
Our six-course dinner menu is:
Sai Oua (Northern Thai Sausages)
with galangal, cucumbers, and mint
vegan
Yum Som-O (Pomelo Salad)
crispy watercress, Thai basil, toasted coconut, and shallots
vegan
Butternut Squash Tom Kha Kai
butternut squash broth, roasted delicata squash, king oyster mushrooms, and nam prik pao (roasted chili pepper jam)
vegan
Winter Greens Pad Thai
kale, spinach, rice noodles, bean sprouts, preserved turnips, and brined tofu
vegan on request
Brussel Sprout Larb
iceburg lettuce, shredded brussels sprouts, toasted rice, lime, cilantro, and crispy shallots served on a sizzling lava stone
vegan
Green Curry Doughnut
with green papaya and caramelized puffed rice
vegan on request
This entire Thai party is only $55 (includes tip but not tax)
For only $30 more we’ll put together a drink pairing for you that’s a combination of beers, wines, and cocktails.
Order us on Chownow, or Caviar, or Seamless for delivery. Or if you join Taste you can have Dirt Candy delivered anywhere in the city on Friday or Saturday.
[One note: the larb is only served on the sizzling hot lava stone at Dirt Candy. We couldn’t make our poor delivery guys carry that around.]
If you want to try this menu out in person, come on down and join us on our totally safe, completely inspected, and absolutely heated patio. You can make a reservation or just walk right up (although you'll probably need a reservation on the weekends).
